wont engage 4x4

my 4x4 wont engage when i press the button... ive messed with putting it in reverse and driving, driving forward, depressing the clutch... nothing... need help... towing trucks around the yard and dont want to tear up the grass... thanks

Is your transfer case motor working? It might need cleaning.
