Wohlf 16's 99 Ranger build

no, i was talking about exactly what you had previously and didn't like.

Of course you can mount the PH bar on top of the axle.

Omg ur side marker lights, I think their called, the front ones L shaped. I got same kind, I was so mad when they arrived and looked like that... I got from andys automotive. They were shown different online. I got matching headlights lol... So disappointed. I feel like have a ford civic... Do you hate yours or just don't care? They feel like a small pebble could break em

Thinkin of goin to a junkyard...
Nice truck btw lol. Just hate that our years 1998-2000 they put 2 piece assembly for front lights. Then converted back like as if they messed up

i had the same kind on mine, just for the older model, and they took a beating. Now the around the outside, where the lens meets the housing, sucks. Super brittle, but once you chip enough off, the rest is fine! lol

I think I only payed like 15 or 20 bux for them off ebay. I still have my old ones if I ever want to change back. I went through this clear corner stage. Kinda dont care anymore either way.
Plan on grabbin a ph bar this weekend and fabbin up the bracket. Thought the straight in line with the axle would work but I googled images of peoples setups and it made me start wonderin. If I accomplish anything this weekend I will post up some pics.

Well I dropped her off at the neighbors house last night. She will be gettin her 5.13s installed and he convinced me to weld the front spiders instead of doin a mini spool. Didnt get to mount a ph bar on yet. Was plannin on doin that this weekend but not sure now when she will be comin home. What do you guys think of just weldin up the rear to? My 9inch had a welded rear and it did fine on the road. Its def. not gonna be anywhere near daily driver status but I would like to be able to drive it on the road sometimes. So my question is go ahead and weld the rear or wait and put in a powertrax locker?

Got my truck back with 5.13s installed, front welded ,rear still open til I can get a lunchbox locker. Gonna do the trac bar this weekend. My neighbor suggested making my one mount on top of the leafspring plate. Would this work? If it would it would help out a lot cause I got high steer and I would have to make a really tall bracket if made it on the axle. I can put up a awesome pc paint pic of my idea if that helps out.

Heres a sweet pic I just did.

Should be getting my rear locker either today or tomorrow. If all goes well I will try to take pics of the install. Its a Spartan locker. Looks like it should be an easy install. Hope to install it on thursday if the weather is good.

July 9th is the mud bog down the road from my house. Im gonna take her down and pray that I dont brake her. Will hopefully have some pics and a video of it.

I got it today. Should be installing it tomorrow. Looks huge compared to my old 8.8 one I had. Hopefully I can take some pics of install and some pics of it in action.
Also came with a new center pin no extra charge.

Alright went to install my locker last night and found out that I have to remove the entire carrier and take the ring gear off in order to get the center pin out. Not a big deal except I cant get the pos out of the housing. I tried prying, beating and attaching a ratchet strap around a tree and to the case to try and pull it out and no luck! I think I might run a chain threw it and use a come along. What do you guys think? Would like to get hold of a axle spreader but dont want to shell out more for it than I paid for the locker.

did you remove the axle shafts?

Yes. The only thing that should be holding it in place is the bearings.

i wasn't being a dick, just wanted to make sure.

I've never heard of a rearend being stuck in there that tight. We always use penetrating oil (PB Blaster), rubber mallet, pry bar, and so elbow grease and they come right out.

That doesn't sound right. They should just pop right out with a little prying. Double check everything.
