Does anyone have the power door wiring diagrams for the exps? I don't remember the year I pulled the harness out of but it was a newer body style 2 door exp. I'm trying to sort it all out and get it installed.

Thanks

Autozone has free online diagrams.

Google it and see what you can find. It can't hurt to try!!!

Diagrams are too hard to post.

Short and simple run down is this:

blue and black is power
white and black is driver up
tan and blue pin 7 is driver down
white and yellow is passenger up from master switch
tan and blue pin 2 is passenger up from master switch
black is ground

yellow and red is passenger down from passenger switch
red and yellow is passenger up from passenger switch

I'll see if I can get the diagram. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

This is for a 90 Explorer

Is there a brain that goes with the door lock system as well if I wanted to add keyless entry?

I would look to the aftermarket for that. Way too much of a headache to deal with the factory stuff.

Yes there is. Pretty much any module will work if you are going to wire it in on your own.

The factory ones aren't that awful. They will wire up about the same as after market ones if you are doing it all yourself. I have the module from a 98 Taurus in my Ranger. With the way that truck is pissing me off right now it might come out and go in the B2.

The only things that don't work right now are the horn/lights and I can't program new remotes, but that is because I don't have that stuff wired up yet, I just did power and the actuator circuits because I was in a hurry.

It wouldn't be bad if you had a pinout of the module and had the harness(s). For simplicity, I used the dealer installed Alarm/Keyless Entry on my Ranger which was made by Code Alarm.

EDIT: Thar she blows:

I had no pinout and about 2.5 inches of harness.

The particular attraction of the 98 Taurus wagon module is that it is attached to a set of relays that it uses to control the locks.

The black box in the bottom right.

All I had to do was sit down with the Taurus and Ranger diagrams and a pile of scotch-locks.
