Hello all. Have a standard cab 97XLT. Wipers didn't work when I bought it. I have checked relays ,fuses, replaced motor, linkage, multiswitch. Now they operate on high speed only. I substituted a GEM temporarily. With that they continued to operate on high only. The only difference was that neither the wipers or the washer pump would turn off when activated. Any suggestions?

sounds like a problem lnternal to the control module, whether that is separate or part of the GEM in your truck. I don't have wiring diagrams for that year of Ranger. A problem with the interval override circuit could possibly backfeed power out to energize the washer pump.
