I found a set of American Racing rims with tires on craigslist for $700 and they're off of a 1994 ford ranger 4wd. They have correct bolt pattern but they are 17" and I currently run 15"s. Im wondering if they will fit with no major issues or will the radius arm be in the way? Any and all info is greatly appreciated

Depends what the backspace is, but they will fit. Bolt pattern is the same. If they didn't rub on a 99 they shouldn't rub on a 94. You don't want more than 4.25" backspace, 3.75" to 4.0" is better. If it's a local seller I'd bolt one up first before you pay.

The guy says that they are 17x8.5 with a -6 offset and 4 1/2 backside (im guessing backspacing)

Might be tight but you can always get spacers. They're not cheap though.

thanks, the guy said he didnt have to crank his t-bars and they didnt rub. the tires are 265/70R17 which is the same as a 31 inch tire which is what i was running just with a 17 inch rim so nothing should rub too much. i just wasnt sure if i would the rims would work
