why my projects are not getting done.

there have been some people asking why i have not been working on my projects this summer,and i reply work has been getting in the way.this is what i have been working on.................

...................there is a local business owner that wanted his boat modified,as it had a top that was a combination of an aluminum roof with fabric sides and back.it was ugly,and didn't give very good protection from the weather,so i made a fiberglass cabin to replace it.

thanks-before putting the new top on,i had to build a new instrument panel for it,as he has a whole new electronics package to install,and the old dash would not begin to hold the new stuff................

.........as for the old top,it is the one in the first pics of the shorty explorer from a while back.

thank you-at this time i would just like to get this thing done and out of my hair so i can work on the real stuff....but in the meantime i'm being loaded down with electronics to wire in,like dual raymarine monitors.........

most of today was spent installing this autopilot system,it uses gps and radar inputs to run the boat in standard fishing patterns,and also has a remot that you hook on your belt to manually control the boat from the rear deck.................

i also have a new radar dome,and gps to install,as well as a satellite radio with a 200w amp.............

there's also a new transducer to install,as well as the interface unit to help it communicate with the screens,and a pair of wireless remote spotlights for the roof.need to be able to see your way back to the dock after a long day of fishing.................

...........a lot of extra work was added today,as we were deciding where to put the smaller monitor.it is to be used while fishing from the rear deck,so must be visible from the outside.he decided that the best spot was in the top of the lower starboard window beside the door,flush mounted to the body.this means i have to cut out the window opening,resising it to make a monitor mount above it and a smaller window opening.....the glass is already cut,so i will need to recut the glass for that one too.

i don't know how to post a link,but if you go to rbvs under construction,'ford should have done this',it's there in as much detail as i've been able to come up with so far.

is this in reference to the boat top,or the explorer?either way,thanks...that's the look i try to aim for.if someone asks if one of my modified vehicles came from the factory like that,i take it as a compliment to the workmanship
