Why is nobody open to new things.

speaking of updates, whats up with the java and security updates every other day on my work pc... never understood windows for that one.

Java was actually pioneered by Sun Microsystems, now owned by the Oracle Corporation, it has nothing to do with windows.

As far as the security updates, Microsoft rolls them out as soon as they're available. Stop whining and be grateful.

its not that I am not open to new things ...... I just don't like apple products. Its not any one thing I can point to and say this is why I don't like apple ....... I just don't like them.

Apple has less than a 20% market share overall, and a considerably smaller market share in the business world, so hackers/virus-writers don't bother with them.

I've mentioned that before, but heaven forbid you bring that point up to a Mac worshipper. Idiots.

Linux update - "WOOHOO! More freebies!"
Windows updates - "UGH!"
Apple updates - "Sweet only $100"

and it always seems that those features Apple people are excited about spending $100 for, is stuff that every other OS already has.

ive never seen windows with 2, 3 and 4 finger gestures, and a keyboard command for everything the computer is capable of.

also, the new update to a new OS was 24.99. not windows 399.99 for basic. updates are free, and come every 1-2 months.

on my windows computer at work, i can look at the security updates that seemingly are daily, and scroll back through them to 2002. It had 24 GB of security and other updates on it, and if you get rid of the old ones, the computer starts to freak out. Thats one of my favorite things about apple. new stuff in, test it... ok it works prefect, old stuff out. free space, new updates. not shoveling shit on top of more shit. ive never understood the logic. updates are meant to be useful. loading crap on my pc 500kb at a time is not useful, nor is it pleasing to have to update dam near every time i turn the thing on, which BTW takes 10 minutes. windows has many things i like, and it is a good idea. it needs refining, as its running on the principles that windows 98 ran on, 14 years ago.

We already covered how you can do damn near anything from the keyboard on windows, as far as the updates, it's a biproduct of getting them out faster. They're there in case they missed something during testing so that you have a restore point. Again, be grateful that they're there.

pain in the ass mainly. they change nothing, and i can go weeks without hitting my update button. the fact microsoft sends them out so often, menas they clearly arent testing their product enough before release. vista is a very very good example.

You've just proven how little you know about computers.

at the prices for a win7 laptop ........ they are disposable....... sorry ....... they start phuquing up to much you just through it was and buy a new one.

:icon_rofl: yes, your right. that sentence explains my computer knowlage to a T. in fact, thats why i was brought on to a chevrolet dealership as a sales and IT guy. :icon_rofl:

i like your logic. windows 7 computer, 799.00 each. macbook 1200.00

so by your math 1598.00 plus tax is better then 1200.00 plus tax.

:icon_rofl: the logic you ladies have is hilarious!:icon_rofl:ive never laughed so hard in my life.

:icon_thumby:

now in all seriousness, why is windows software so dam expensive? :icon_confused:

Really?

That's what you're going with? You've just given up arguing and switched to outright lying?

Good luck with that, it works for politicians.

:icon_thumby:

the last 3 laptops I bought were $499, $300, and $250.........

The one for $499 is an Asus with an I3 and 6 gigs DDR3 ram and a 640 gig HDD. so yeah ..... disposable when they start phuquing up.

Lying? Where. I work for geotgetown chevrolet as a it since nobody there know what they are doing, and as a new and used sales rep.

But thanks. Polititians are wealthy, so im cool with that.

Yea those arent too badly priced.

Why are you guys still arguing about this? Do any of you actually think you will be able to change the opinion of others? Since when is it a crime to like Pc or Mac? I own both and each have their own strengths and weaknesses. If you like Pc then great, if you like Mac then great, whatever floats your boat. Let's not make enemies over what OS you like.
