You are correct. The chassis wiring is intertwined with the engine wiring, kinda making it a real pain in the ass. it's still doable, but a real pain in the ass. I swapped in the chassis harness (headlights and stuff) from a 92 to to my 94 truck. If I remember correctly, there were like 3 pins that needed moved around and a few wires needed lengthened and some plugs swapped over. Otherwise, it's straightforward and plugs right in. it'll make the SEFI harness easier to install. As far as the V8 swap with the 2.9 V6 being the original engine, you can reuse the 2.9 wiring harness. Some stuff will need moved around and 2 injector plugs will need added. The difference is that the Mustang/ HO engine uses SEQUENTIAL fuel injection while the 2.9L V6 and the Ford trucks use a batch-fire system. The sequential system is more efficient and will make more horsepower and has better tuning capabilities.Thank you, I done read them . I am thinking I read somewhere that the 93 an 94 was different than the 95. My truck is originally equipped with a 2.3 5 speed. The 2.9 to 5.0 swap made it seem like everything pouted in with no wiring having to be done. Is that how it is?
