Which speedo drive gear do I need?

I've looked all over for this seemingly simple answer. My drive gear is worn out in my transfer case (BW1350). It's mounted in a 1988 BII behind a FM146 & 2.9..

The stock gear is red/burgundy, 6 tooth. When it does decide to read, it's way low but most of the time it doesn't read anyways so I plan to fix that. I have 2 different driven gears to choose from 18 & 19 tooth & I plan on moving to a 7 tooth drive gear so my speedo reads correct. Sounds simple enough until I started trying to find a replacement & ran across two separate Ebay listings:

#1 - "7 tooth narrow steel sleeve 0.779" wide OEM Ford speedometer Drive gear for a transfer case in an Explorer, compact SUV, or Bronco II. This fits the 1.147" shaft ."

#2 - "7 tooth wide steel sleeve 1.5" wide OEM Ford speedometer Drive gear for a transfer case in an Explorer, compact SUV, or Bronco II. This fits the 1.147" shaft"

They appear to be the same but one is .779" wide & the other is 1.5" wide. I really don't want to tear mine apart until I have the replacement in hand since this is my driver, but if I have to I will. Does anyone know for sure which drive gear I need? Wide or narrow?

subscribed, as I am in the same boat looking for the 7 tooth driven gear. my speedo reads low compared to actual speed and I am on the smallest speedo gear (16 tooth maroon) and still off by 10mph at 55mph

Surely someone has had to change out the drive gear. I should have checked it myself when I swapped transmissions & had the fluid drained. Not in the mood to drop it all again just to check, re-install for a week, & drop again for a 3rd time. Here are the two different pics. Maybe someone will know by looks?

Love your Bronco redhurricane!
