I ordered in a filler neck from a local parts store (Canadian tire) and should have known as they give me the wrong parts everytime like in the summer when I replaced all my steering parts and ended up with a tire rod end for some small car instead of one of the adjusting sleeves lol. Anyways the new neck appeared to be the same length as the old one when I eyeballed it and the parts guy said that neck should work but when I went to bolt it to the box it was an inch or 2 too short. I have a 1997 xlt 4.0 reg cab with long box I am not reordering from them guys so ill order on rock auto I am just unsure wich neck to order. the neck I ending up getting from Canadian tire was a spectra fn518 rock auto shows it as part numbers AL5Z9034A, F47Z9034P says it is 25 3/4 inches. I see one on there for 84'' bed spectra fn550 (E97Z9034N) shows as 26 3/4'' I am thinking that that should be the one but they also list one {#F47Z9034P) (even tho another one says that number but is 25 3/4'') that says that it is 30'' long. I might put a body lift on at some point after I put in my suspension lift this spring so would the 30'' one work/ be better for me in that case or will only the 26 3/4'' one work?
