Sorry to be so short but I'm posting from my phone.

I've used centerforce, zoom, and petroworks in zuks. What clutch do you use and why?
Gonna be swapping to a 5spd before long and I want to start sourcing parts now.
I've got 5.13 gears and 38s and will be installing a doubler also.
Thanks.

I put a Luk clutch in mine which so far has worked great.

You're running smaller tires than I am Junkie but gearwise we will be the same. How well does the clutch hold up to crawling? I tend to slip mine a bit when on the harder stuff and the Zoom clutch held up well to that. Never really burnt one up but got it nice and stinky a few times. Lasted for a couple of years in the Zuk.

+1 on the LUK .... it's O/E in most Fords, never had any issues with any of mine. Also note that a centerforce clutch is a LUK Pro Gold Series clutch. Centerforce in fact buys them directly from LUK and adds the weights to the fingers and paints them orange. You can probably get a Pro Gold from LUk for less money.

As rednine mentioned, the O/E clutches are made by Luk also (at least 4.0L ones I know are).

I wouldn't be all that concerned about durability of the clutch if you have a doubled t-case. You'll find you rarely have to slip it (and those few times you do, it's under a real light load). "Heavy-Duty" clutches often have poorer control sometimes to the point of being grabby, which I wouldn't want in a crawling rig.

Thanks for the info. I searched before I asked and that's what most had said. Was wanting to see if it still held true. You're right about the "grabby" part, I had a Centerforce in my zuk for a while and it was either "on" or "off". Pulled it and put in the Zoom in and that's what was in it when it was stolen.

Anyone found the best place to get one pricewise? I guess I could search that too...
