Hi, I have a 1984 ranger with the two piece thermostat housing. The water outlet closest to the firewall has stripped and cracked. I can't seem to find one online that will fit. The 1975-1978 Pinto water outlets have a different bolt hole pattern. I would pick up one at a junkyard, but there's no Bronco II's or Rangers with a 2.8 near me lol. So does anyone know where to get the correct water outlet? Thanks, Lucas.

Two of the bolt holes have cracked in half and one looks stretched. I think a previous owner just jammed bigger bolts in there to compensate for the stripped threads lol.

The 2 housing pieces can be found on eBay for under 30 a piece sometimes 15
The bolts you can get new from a cologne. Engine parts supplier in England but you have to call him because the web site onlyships to England. And you have to make the order a bit padded like I bought the bolts and a British oil filter for the 2.8. I cannot find the shop on line right now but I found it though the British ebay

Bolts are available in the US. You may be able to tap the rear housing with a larger thread; that worked for me.
