where to buy a bodylift?

I know all the places to get them.I just want to know if anyone knows where to pick up one for a good price.Summit want 138.00 for one.I just wanted to know if there was a cheaper option.Its for a 1989 extended cab ranger.Thanks

Well I know were there is a plaza with a sporting goods store and a hardware store next to each other.

Bet 10 hockey pucks and some new bolts don't cost that.

I have seen it done. It kinda works. The problem is that even though they are made from the same stuff, hockey pucks are not as hard and break down faster.

+1 what chrwilkens said. I picked up just the individual 1" body lift blocks from Summit for about $1-$2 each. Now I just need some bolts/nuts/washers at $1.69/lb at the local hardware store and I'm set. Although, I might splurge and pickup stainless or even metric (both cost a bit more). You will need to go to Performance Accessories website to get the part numbers and then just enter them into Summit's search to find them, I don't remember if the individual blocks are listed unless you search the part number.

I agree with you, with real lift blocks as inexpensive as they are, why use hockey pucks?

1" lift blocks are a 1.99 on Summit. My B2 needs 6 or 8. So with grade 8's and washers, were talking under 25 bucks.

2" were 3.99 and 3 " were 5.99. I might go with 2" not entirely sure.

You're correct, I just searched Summit for them and you can find them without knowing the part number. I searched for "Performance Accessories" and blocks came up as an category to view all the items available. I found the same price for 2" and 3" diameter blocks (both 1" tall).

For some reason 14 comes to mind as the number for a Ranger. Six 3" diameter for the cab/hood/fender area and the rest as 2" diamter for the box. I could be wrong, it was quite some time ago that I looked at them on my Ranger and it's not near me right now to check it out. It seems like a lot compared to what's on your BII, maybe my number required for the box is too high, at least if I ordered 14 I won't be short!
