this is on the back floor:

and i made a shelf to fit over that that made it level with the freakin back hump to sit my box like this:

Mine are just mounted to the box but since this is a transmission line enclosure there are port walls everywhere which gives it internal bracing and its built very well so the box doesnt flex at all.

Mine is mounted to the back wall just below the rear window in my extended cab.

My sub box's are two prefabbed single cab truck box's laid on their faces, and I mounted the amp where the backrest of the jumper seat would sit.

I glued a piece of mdf to the back wall under the carpet with construction adhesive. Then screwed the amp to the board - that way you don't get any holes in the cab.

i still like your setup mang...looks clean...i wish i woulda went with AQ amps...but i didnt...went with a sundown SAZ 1000d and a Hifonics 4 channel...im overall happy.

and to the guy that glued the piece of wood to the back wall.....you were worried about holes in the metal but did you think about how in gods name you were going to ge that glued piece of wood off the back wall?

I just wanted to spring for matching amps this time and a sundown 1000 or 1500 and a 50.4 or 100.4 was just more than i wanted to spend. I still need to bedline this box but its just a pain unhooking everything and taking out a seat to get the box out so i havent yet:dunno:. I should have did this before i put it in but i wasnt sure how it would sound in my truck.

If I took my amp out you wouldn't even be able to tell that the wood was there. It is only 5/8" thick and I don't have any more plans to make my system any bigger. I just don"t like drilling unneeded holes in my truck if I don't have to.

no offense but you shoulda NEVER used housing carpet on those....if you get some regular speaker box carpet and cover them theyll look 100x better...if you wanted to go all out take the carpet off bondo em up and then paint em. and if theres only one layer of the fiberglass mat on there good luck.

lol.... dont mean to take the thread but had to comment back...

it looks like you didnt take the time to look into my first thread all the way. everyone has comented about the carpet and as i said to them it was 100% free and a fast fix.

Someone has also commented about the fiberglass layers. i put several layers and then filled the inside with about 1/2 - 1 in. of fiberglass filler... its not going anywhere.. but thanks for the input. :icon_cheers:
