Where does this wire go? (Pics)

I just replaced the heads on my 94' 4.0 OHV and I can't figure out where this wire goes... The end was sitting over top of the transmission on the passenger side when I found it while disassembling everything and it was already loose. Don't know if it was loose before or I had accidentally disconnected it while removing parts.

Went to the junkyard and looked at several 4.0's in Rangers/Explorers and didn't see one with this wire coming out of the firewall..?

It runs through the firewall in it's own hole directly underneath the big white connector.

Anybody know what this is!?

What color is the wire? What does it connect to inside?

Have you some remote starter.if yes it could be the hood signal.?

Not familiar with the 4.0 but it looks like you don't have a brake fluid level connector on the master cylinder. The wrapping makes it look like it was part of the original wiring.

Just a guess...from where it comes out and the type of connector.

Hey, sorry for the late reply guys! I was having some urgent issues with my truck that I needed to focus on as its my daily driver. Replaced the heads after finding they were bad while doing the head gaskets and it ran terrible after putting everything back together. Ended up being a vacuum leak in the intake manifold!

Anyways, I do have a remote starter Paperboy_Qc. After reading your suggestion I tried to remote start it and it didn't work, so thats my guess! Ill have to look into how remote starters work and how they are wired. Unless you know where the "hood signal" might plug into? I din't see anything under the hood.
