NOTICE Where are the serious off-road Ford Ranger builds!!?? Show me....

Yeah I didn't care for it either. Why i mentioned it. I know they sell a wide body kit that would offset the look a lot.

But are factory Sasquatch Bronco parts any better than the aftermarket offerings for a Ranger? Especially when you are talking a bodyshop tour?

Two other more serious older trucks I thought of:

@Lil Bronco and deathbypsi

deathbypsi has moved more into youtube though.

My thoughts on the whole thing is why not use upgraded part for the Bronco on the Rangers. Like my friend with the Xterra did. He's running Z1 Titan uppers and lowers with some aftermarket upgraded tie rods and CVs all for a Titan. Actually I think his axles are for the Q56 Infiniti so he didn't have to buy new wheels. So if the factory Bronco parts fit with minimal fab work. Shouldn't the aftermarket parts work as well?

I think the draw to used Bronco stuff is that takeoffs are pretty cheap vs new aftermarket.

If I ever lift our Bronco it will be with Badlands or Sasquatch take-off stuff.

Ive been looking at the Skyjacker lifts. They have multiple options. Ive got time to figure it out. She's made it clear she dont want to do anything till its time for tires.

I can't afford to have a dedicated rig that has to be towed to the event. Nor do I have the room to store one when it's not in use.

I don't think I like your attitude Mr. Man..

I think you should go Skyjacker on the Ranger.

I nominate you to build an offroad Ranger.

I know, I know, yours is 2wd... but you can make it 4wd ;)

I'll get there one day.

If someone wants to donate me a beat up ranger body I have a "spare" full size truck frame that already has 2 solid axles I can put it on 😌

I'd even be willing to meet half way to pick it up! 😋

I've got a stripped RCSB 2wd first gen sitting down here in middle GA. I literally mean stripped, nothing but the sheetmetal glass and mostly bare frame left. The body and frame are not currently connected. Unfortunately, I couldn't even meet you 1/5 of the way.

If it's still here in 5-10 years, I might do something like one of these builds with it assuming that I have the spare parts lying around to throw it together. First the F-100 has to get built, then the '99 Ranger has to get finished with what ever it's getting, then the 85 RCLB 2wd has got to be done if it's going to happen. Probably a move and shop build in there somewhere.

Im actually probably going to order their 3.5 inch kit. When I get the shocks and Struts from @Snoranger, since they are an inch taller. I will use my 2.5 pucks on the Fox 2.0s with Skyjacker UCAs and diff drop. That should work out the same as the 3.5 pucks that come with the kit for the standard shocks. Then I will probably use their add a leaf and replace the heavy ones I have in the back now. At least that's the plan.

Perception is a curious thing I guess.

Driving my bronco and a 24 bronco back to back there is no comparison.

Well....the road noise is comparable 😃

So I am surprised Jim would rather have a 4 liter. I like the 4.0....but I would rather have the 4.3 gm and the 4l60 and I do not like 4l60s. From a drivability perspective they were perfect for mpg and all around useable power.

But the Ecoboost 2.3 and that ridiculous 10 speed blow all of that stuff out of the water. Blows away normal 302 for that matter. A stock explorer 302 will get embarrassed by a modern 2.3 eb.

I don't have any radical seat time in a new ranger but I have run the balls out of several now on medium challenges.

I would definitely edge the ttb for the front...and the rear is a bit stiff compared to earlier trucks as well but the trail control if you have access to it is all win.

For a single rig they are tops. A programmer from 5 star and some home made beef ups for steering and as mentioned I will be cutting it up to work.... WORK. DGAF what it looks like....just needs to work.

Not sure if that share link will work...I don't have Instagram and have to get clicky to hear anything.....it's a kewlz Toyota though.

I am quite sure....when I get a new rig ... It will be like that. But a Ford ranger....

Point is ..... TTB is king.

👍 Yeah .....

Remember when TTB was hated/feared by everyone? Now everyone realizes what us Ranger owners have know forever: that you can get a ton of travel and a good ride from it.

That allows you to TTB anything.
