The 2V's had the blowing out problem, in F-150's they ran from 97-03 (and 04 F-150 Heritage) Generally I don't think they are that big of a deal as long as the plugs are neither torqued too tight or not tight enough.
04+ F-150's had the 3V 5.4, plug blowouts are virtually unheard of (although like mentioned before they can happen with anything) They use a very long reach spark plug and carbon can build up between the extension and spark plug hole and then the extention can pull off of the plug. There is an updated plug that is all one piece now that eliminates this.
The only one you can do anything about is the 3V, make a tune up part of the deal.
The 2V don't worry about it until you have to.
