Whats the mileage of your 2.3L?

i have a 92 2.3 manuel with 128000 and have replaced a few things. the timing belt got so lose that it jumped timing and still ran good(just not at full throtle). New centerforce clutch, jet perfromance chip, custom exhust, intake, electric fan, plugs, wires and rims and tires are round out performace modes it needs new rear breaks and the fronts needs another set of pads, secoud disic. the maf got water into it and had to be replaced and i could use a o2 censer. i drive the hell out of the thing and have hade little to no problems and still get 19 to 22 miles in the city (depend on how heavey my foot is that week) have a set of 17 injectors just no money to replace plugs 3rd set

keepdriven hard and maybe the aftermarket will catch up

My old one

MIne do 7-8 Mpg.......it's really 4 cylinders of pain.

x29k +

i like to pretend its 129k but its prolly 229k

runs good when it wants to but sometimes it dont

the joke is its like the truck from that song - there aint nothin wrong with the radio

Sometimes she runs, sometimes she don't
More than once she's left me on the side of the road
The older she gets the slower we go
But there ain't nothin' wrong with the radio

except the radio crapped out

got mine november of '99 with 85k on it, now it has around 165k on it, it's been through a couple phases... started out life as a fleet style 4x2, base white, manual steering, not even a deleted option... no headliner, bench seat, rubber floor, etc. about a year ago I found a donor truck on craigslist for $350 that had 4.10 gears, 4x4 with manual tranny and transfer case, power steering, same engine, same body style, so june of '06 my base model 4x2 became a mid range 4x4 with 31" tires (the truck originally had 3.08 gears and 190 70 14 tires). the only downside is the drivetrain I switched to was abused and had 170K on it, I've replaced every part of the brakes other than the booster and hard lines pretty much, I blew a spider gear in the back, wheel bearings were loose, other little stuff, but it runs good now

in all the time I've had the truck, I've pretty much only had to do regular maintenence, like two clutches (they don't last as long if you don't surface the flywheel...), oil changes and a timing belt, it's never left me stranded, behaved for the most part, and still runs pretty good all things considered.

Where in the world do you all go? My 92 I bought in April 92 has 97.5k. I'm looking at doing the clutch soon because the throwout bearing/slave cylinder is showing signs of going south.
Most of them are, or have been work trucks, am I right guys?? Mine has ^that many, mainly because it used to be a cable TV repair truck. The only thing thats wrong with it mainly is a worn bench seat cover, thats it. I see my truck getting many more miles on it before it packs it in. Pretty soon, hopefully this summer i plan to do put a turbo on it, following in jess warrens shoes.
