Yes.Does the door ajar switch also control the dome lights ??
should i spray wd40 into my driver side and passenger side key holes on the outside ?the dome light switch is in the lock, replacing the lock will replace the switch.... so most likely.... it is also quite very likely that just lubing it will fix it.
Thank You for your answer i had a feeling that the door ajar switch also controls the dome lights turning off and on. Thats why my dome lights would not turn off because my door ajar switch wore out and went badYes.
What is clp ?use clp

WD40 is really good at displacing water - that's what the WD stands for Water Displacement.... anyhow it attracts dirt and dust like no get out. PB Blaster or some other lubricant that isn't just a penetrating oil would be a better choice.
my solution, drive a 2nd genshort throw pin switches in the jamb no door lock multi-function nonsense

The dome light on my '90 started out not working with the passenger side door a couple years ago but worked with the drivers side until earlier this year, I replaced the drivers side switch and still nothing, works with the headlight switch... even simple systems stop working sometimesmy solution, drive a 2nd genshort throw pin switches in the jamb no door lock multi-function nonsense
