whats the difference between 03 to 07?

is the only reason an older 98-03 hood won't fit a newer 04-07 style is because the new style of grill?, if i were to replace the grill with an older style grill could i fit an older style hood?...im thinking an aftermarket cowl hood, thanks.

If my math is right the difference between 05 and 07 is 04

The differences externally between the 01-03 Ranger and 04+ are:

Header panel
Grille
Hood
Valence change(for 04-05), full bumper/bumper cover change for '06+
hood latch
driver hood hinge



Yes......the grille is taller on 04+ compared to 01-03's, and the header panel is different to accomidate it.

Now you know....if you know how to work 'glass.....you can have a cowl hood on your 04+......

yea i thought about the stick on ones but i need a new hood anyways, mines slightly...used...so to replace mine with an 01-03 i would need to swap out the whole header panel+grill? I would love to do something like his but i definatly don't have the skills or money

As to skills, its a really easy swap. Everything just bolts up. I just swapped my 98 to an 01-03 setup, only took a couple hours.

Money, on the other hand, can be an issue

So are the fenders the same? Everything i find shows them from 01-03 and then 04-10. Will a 00-03 bumper bolt right on to a 04 frame?

the fenders are the same since 98
a 01-03 bumper will fit any 01+
with the proper brackets u can fit it on any 98-00 and a 98-00 bumper on any newer ranger too

u can open them , paint the housing and u got proyectors
i think theres a how to on the tech library about that.
