ok so i would have $30 on each side to fix each wheel cylinder, then i need new brakes b.c it doesnt have any good ones when it did work so that would be another 30, plus add to cost how pissed i will get trying to get those damn rusted brake drums off. so **** that. swaping sounds so much easier. yeah but im lookin at the positive side to a replacement. right now my truck has open 3.55 gears. i would like a locked or L/S rear end. so if i can spend around 75 for a whole rear end as opposed to fixing 2 rusty RUSTY RRUUSSTTYY wheel cylinders and brake lines. i spent almost 12 dollars on my last brake line for the rear and that was 6 dollars for the line and another 6 dollars for a stupid fitting for the brake line to the cylinder. so id rather do a swap then jsut either sell or scrap the old one.

i was wrong. $10 for each cylinder. so a total of $20 to fix your problem...
i mean there are benefits of the 8.8. but if your just doing this for sheer cheapness and simplicity, youre going the wrong way. plus if the 8.8 has been sitting or unused for very long, chances are you have to rebuild it anyways...
dont take it personally, im not criticizing you. just trying to help.
