what wheel offset is needed for 12.5" wide tires??? or would spacers work fine???

usually for a 12.5 tire you should go with a 10 inch wheel but many fellas are using an 8 inch wheel. what kinda truck are we talking about here?

I ran 12.5's on an 8" wheel with 0 (4") offset on a BII. Avoid anything less as it will surely rub inside. On full articulation, my rears rubbed against the plate....

12.50s on 8" with 3 5/8" backspace on a BII. 3 1/2" lift minimum required. They will hit the radius arms at full turn in front and the rears will hit the fender lips and inner fender on full articulation. 10" rims are real hard on the front wheel bearings and the rubber will hit the fenders everywhere without more lift and/or cutting. 32X11.50s on 7" rims clear well with very little modification. Gen 1 BIIs have even less front fender clearance than my 89. I pulled my 3 1/2" lift and put roughly 5" kit on to minimize interference.

You want 3.75" backspace on a 15x8, 4.25" (and no more than 4.5") on a 15x10.
The front wheel bearings will last longer with a 15x8.

wheel offset ???

thanks for all the replys

i have an 87 b2 with 305/70/16 on 16x8 wheels, not sure what the back space is on the wheels i have, but the tires are real close to the inner fender well on the rear

Most 16x8's have a GM-type offset regardless of the bolt pattern, meaning that there is more backspace (around 4.5" or more) than Fords need and the tire will be closer to the body.
The 16x8 with the least backspace I've found are the Pro Comp 1069 and 1089 with 4.0".
