I learned to drive in my dad's 94 Dodge Shadow, til I wrapped it around a telephone pole. My first vehicle I bought was an 86 Isuzu Pickup (P'up), drove it for a year til the inspection was due, and instead of paying $1000+ to fix, bought the ranger.

My first was a 75 F150, 351M/4sp/2wd, that was a fun as hell truck, but it got Tboned by a 1ton dodge, bent the frame (he was doing 65).

Then i bought a Royal Blue 77 LTD II 4 dr. Had a warmed up 351W, C6 auto, that car was alot of fun, it got me out of as much trouble as it got me in. Tennesee Highway Patrolmen dont like a 17yr old kid leaving a huge smokeshow leaving a redlight in the middle of town :)

....and yes it would do it, i bought the car with the engine work done so all i know for sure is it had a 4bbl and headers, but im sure that wasnt it, i have my suspensions it was regeared as well.

Then i sold that and got a 78 Chevy LUV, the LTD got rear ended by a dump truck, once again, frame damage, i tried chaining it to a tree, broke the chain and sent it through the back window, parked it out back and sold the engine and scrapped the car.

The LUV was a pile of shit. 98 Cubic Inches of pure fury. I smoked the clutch and transmission trying to pull a 4500lb boat. I took it to a push pull drag sale and got my Ranger, brand new in 87, and i still have it.

To sit here and list all the vehicles ive owned over the years would take the rest of my born days.

later,
Dustin

69 firebird convertible 400 ram air/th400.......beautiful to look at , p.o.s to own. no i wouldnt want it back, sold it for 3,000$, bought a 75 mustang 2 with a 285 hp 302....it was FASTER than the bird, all ford since, never looked back.

first automobile ever bought was an '83 ranger with a carbed 2.0 that i payed $400 for but the carb needed rebuild so i parked it, and bought a $1200 '90pontiac grand am had it for 4 months fell asleep at the wheel driving home from work and hit a semi head-on. (i have pics somewere i'll half do dig'em out) so i had no choice but to fix the ranger and drive it. been in love with rangers ever since:headbang:

My first was a 1987 Buick Century Custom with the good ol' "Iron Duke" I4. It was basically a tractor engine with emission controls..... cast iron block and cast iron heads. It pretty much turned into a rat rod.

my 1st was back in '87 a '79 amc concord 6 cylinder 2 door. traded it in '89 for a '85 jeep cj-7 got rid of that in '91 for a '88 2wd ranger 2.3 s/c. it had 98,000 on it when i bought it and 203,000 when i traded it back in '97 for a '92 gm 2wd 3/4 ton 350 v8 with a creeper 1st 5 speed overdrive. traded it in '03 for a pontiac montans that i only kept for 5 moths when i found my '93 4.0 s/c 5 speed i still have now. wife's vehicles include a mercury zepher z-7, chevy astro van and the '93 taurus we still have. id like to get another van someday.

my frist car was a 1990 tunderbird SC. love that car to bad some one pulled out in front of me 6 months after i got it.

my first car was a 86 Lincoln town car. was a beast of a car. nicknames included: big white f_ckin boat, tank, lead sled... the coolest thing i liked about it though was the POWER wing windows that rolled down before the main windows in the front... :headbang:

needless to say... i didnt get very many girls in that one... :icon_rofl:

My first car to mess with was my grandfathers 63 Pontiac Catalina. It was a red 2 door with a white hard top, 389 with a 2bbl that sat in a storage shed for about 18 years. Sadly the elements had their way with the body and frame, so I was never able to make it road worthy, but I did learn a lot about cars messing with it in the back yard. My first car I actually bought was an 80 Cutlass Calais that someone had swapped an Olds 307 into and I loved that car, but the guy that it was bought from had 2 Cuttys, and he gave the wrong title to the woman that bought the other and wrecked it, so the title for mine was declared totaled, so I got screwed out of that car mostly for not knowing anything being just out of high school. My first actual car that was able to be titled and driven on the roads legally was an 85 Mercury Cougar that I paid $500 for. It had been wrecked and fixed and the people thought they bought another 302 to replace the one that was in it. Little did they know, the didn't know how to tell the difference between a 302 and a 351 Windsor. That was a fun car.

First car was a 1976 Ford F-250 super cab 2wd, 460 big block auto, Dana 60 rear end. Gift from an uncle, only drove it for a lil while due to brake problems... Parents wouldn't let me drive it after i took out a fence when the brakes failed :)

1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V. That car was a boat but with the 460, it would pick up and fly when you wanted it to. Probably the most comfortable car to ride in. Fully loaded and everything worked, to include the 8 track!

I had it for several years but could not afford to drive it and finally sold it after the timing chaing dies. I got it in 94 and sold it in 97. It was not always my daily driver but I did love that car. Memories :D
