I just bought a 1996 ranger it has no carpet and the seat is wrecked... also no door panel and is missing some trim... I was wondering what years would match up if I went to a pick and pull.

Your best bet is 1993 to 1997. That's the generation of your truck. Starting in 1998 Ford stretched the cab a few inches, so I'm not sure if they modified the seats for the 3rd generation Rangers.

If you care enough about the carpet, LMC Truck sells replacements for a decent price. That's what I did in my truck after I had the seat reupholstered. Trim is surprisingly flexible. I have interior trim parts on mine from mid-2000s Rangers from the pick and pull yards, so I think you won't have too much problem there depending on which trim piece you're looking to replace.

Get a bench seat, its way more sex friendly.

the fold down arm rest does not look bad either.

I am wondering if any seats from a new ranger will fit in my 1996. I want to keep the folding arm rest. the main reason I want to go with something newer is that it is not that easy to find good condition seats for older year model cars anymore in the junkyard.

I'm interested in this. My driver seat is smooshed down on the left side, probably just from a lot of getting in and out. I wouldn't mind finding a nice matching replacement.

And remember- the passenger side seat will almost always be in much better shape than the drivers, find a good passenger side seat, put the drivers side seat rails on and you now have a good drivers side seat! yes, the release lever is now on the inside but other than that it works- and works well. You can build your own console or source a used one. As for “sex frendly”? its a ranger, get a cap-curtians-air mattress. Unless its a supercab (reclining seats) theres not much room in the front.

Yeah I have cab plus. They recline quite a bit if you don't have dog there.

Lever for recline doesn't interfere with anything cuz I imagine there is then a big hole there.

I don't mind making sometthing for console. I like having it, but, slots for cassettes? Nah. It didn't even have cassette player, I have no idea why they did that. Coin holders? Nah.

This sounds great. Thanks very much.
