What on earth is going on with my truck?

Well it looks to me like you have a power cable or ground hitting something that it shouldn't be hitting and its causing the gauge to go haywire. happened to my truck once and turned out my sub amps power cable had a crack in the fuse casing and was resting next to metal.

I would start looking at wires coming off and around your battery. Why did you have to charge it in the first place?

yeah.. grounding issue probably. or hot wire against a ground.

Were you trying to start it with the charger still connected?
