1. 1984 Ranger 2wd, 2.0L 4 cyl, 4 spd Toyo trans. Reg cab, Long box. Odo was over 190k when I parked it out behind a friends barn (still there).
2. 1991 Mercury Tracer LTS. 1.8L DOHC 4 cyl 5spd manual. 220k miles when I drove it to a junk yard and sold it for $80. It was my younger brother's HS car so there wasn't a straight body panel on the thing, and it was starting to rust out, but man was it fun to drive. 30 more hp than the SOHC 1.9L. Ford/Mazda knew what the hell they were doing when they designed that one.
3. 1991 Thunderbird Sport 5.0L V8, 4spd AOD. Mods incl. cold air intake, 130 amp alternator, limited slip rear diff, (love the IRS 8.8) & cat back exhaust. No body mods yet, but I added 17" aftermarket wheels & tires last summer and plan on fixing up the rust this winter. 216,000 miles and still going strong. This is my summer car and will probably deserve a rebuild next winter. I'm thinking 331 stroker with Edelbrock aluminum heads, higher ratio roller rockers, larger tb, and stainless shorty headers.
4. 83 Ranger 4wd 2.3L 4 cyl. 4 spd Toyo trans. Bought this one used for $800 a few years ago with the odometer showing 140k, but it's probably more like 240 or 340. Previous owner messed with the cats and EGR, so it's been a b***h to tune. Original plan was to merge the '84 and '83 into a single good driver, but this ones getting sold this winter after the blown head gasket & cracked exhaust manifold are fixed.
5. '95 Ranger 4wd 4.0L V6, 5 spd manual. 153k miles. New daily driver/winter truck. Mods include manual hub swap, K&N, cat back exhaust, Explorer 8.8. Had to replace all 4 leaf spring hangers after I owned it a week. Didn't realize they were that rusted out until I helped a buddy haul 1000 lbs of fence
That's my personal history. Learned to drive stick in my dad's '73 F100 reg cab w/390 V8. I also really miss the '67 F100 w/289 and 4 spd we had for a work truck that was my daily driver one summer in HS.
