what is the rbv ecu/pcm/ecm code name?

got in touch with the guy at moates, as i was looking at the quarterhorse module. he said he needs more information on the ecm to know if he can help the rbv crowd with tuning. im not sure exactly what hes looking for but i know in the small block crowd they just refer to the mustang ecm everyone uses as "a9L"

A9L is the large letters/numbers stamped on the PCM label, it is the Software loaded when PCM was installed, "L" is manual trans, "P" is automatic if memory serves

On yours it may be a 3 or 4 digit code, thats what he needs

There will also be a label with the same code in the engine bay by the PCM, or on passenger door jam if PCM is in the cab

Ford never published a "decoder" for this stamped on code, so there is no way to cross reference it
