what is the correct metod for cleaning a MAS?
Thanks:icon_twisted:

there's a write up about it in the tech library with pictures. But you go to the autoparts store, buy some MAF cleaner. Geta torx security bit (don't remember what size)and unplug/remove the sensor from the housing. the spray it with the cleaner, let it dry and reinstall it.

Closest thing I could find to Maf cleaner was air intake cleaner which should be the same stuff

Isopropyl alcohol and a q tip. Be careful to not damage the sensor. If the gunk is caked on the sensor, you may need a small brush to break it loose. I use a magnifying glass to examine the sensor.

If the sensor is oily and wet, the spray cleaner might get it off. Some chemicals can badly damage the sensor, so make sure the cleaner is for that purpose.:)shady
