what have you been pulled over for?

o gee lets see... speeding (several times), running a yellow light, doing a burnout while leaving work one night when i was 16, changing lanes without signaling, window tint, licence plate lights. ive only gotten a couple tickets though, one was for the yellow light and the other was for a small fender bender i was in when i was 17. its been about 8 years since my last ticket, hope it stays that way.

That is the most retarded thing I've ever heard of. What difference does it make which way you park?:icon_confused:

They need reasons to give tickets so they make up these laws. Common in ma.

I rear ended a lady who slammed her brakes to let a pedestrian who wasn't crossing the street at the end of a blind turn. Unregistered, attached plates, no insurance... Still haven't found out what lady expects to get for her 2000 Subaru wagon... Nice car my a**

1982 Mustang GL
۩ One moving violation ticket from the street cameras, I was heading to a possible job interview and was nervous so i didn't see the light turn

1988 Ranger XLT
۩ I don't know if this counts as a warning or not but on my way to work one day I was coming out of a turn and i sped up to about 40mph in a 35 and passed a cop but he flicked the lights on and off without stopping.

Lets say I started taking it a bit slower out of that turn.

acceleration

Acceleration is better then speed in the eyes of cops and the weight of the pocket.[/QUOTE said:
Exhibition of acceleration cost me 50 bucks back in the 80s, now it's a hundred or more!

I've been pulled over 3 times in my life. All 3 times I was driving company work trucks.

2 of them I was driving the company Ranger. Both for doing about 45 mph in a 25 mph zone. Both times were on the same road, but different areas (on 2 separate days too). Got a written warning both times.

The 3rd time I was driving the company S10, doing 79 mph in a 65 mph. Got a ticket for 75 mph in a 65. It was about $73 fine IIRC.

I get pulled over for nothing late at night a lot comming home from work at 2am. I hate that they are just pricks about looking for a drunk. I'm the only vehicle on the road and they always pull me over in my company f350. I've about had enough of it. Three of the four times, they tell me they pulled me over because my license plate light is out. I will jump right out of the truck and walk to the back and point out to them that the plate is on the box of the service bed, not in the middle of the step bumper. One even put his hand on his gun when I got out and told me to get back in the truck. I put my hands on my head and told him I was going to show him the light. Walked to the back of the truck and guess what..... The light was working fine. I have even stated that what were you doing checking if I was drunk! Then they always say they have to run my license and reg and keep you there for 20 min. Then let you go and don't even appoligize for being such an idiot.

I hate Weld county in Colorado. It is always the sherifs department. Go out and arrest some illegals why don't you! Quit wasting a honest working mans time!:thefinger:

I have been pulled over 7 times, 6 resulted in tickets lol

4 speeding tickets (totalling approx. $550)
1 seatbelt ticket ($15)
1 illegally backing up ($70 iirc)
1 warning for my tag lights being out.

in the ranger: warning for speed-82 in a 65 and a seatbelt ticket. a few months later another seat belt ticket.

many other tickets and warnings in many other vehicles

I don't get pulled over much, got a warning once back in highschool in my S-10 for speeding, just verbal though.

Last night, coming home from a buddy's place I saw some tail lights up ahead of me. I was going about 50mph, the speed limit. Next thing I know I see white light on the driver side of my truck and red light on the passenger side just as I rounded a sharp bend, with a POLICE logo right in my face. I put my truck in the soft shoulder getting around the shitstain. What a stupid place to turn around. I ALMOST turned around to run him down and chew him the hell out, but I had three beers that night so I figured he'd find some way to use that against me, so I let him be. That's the second time that has happened to me in that area. The first time a state trooper backed out into the road directly in front of me while I was doing 60mph in a 55. I think that's the closest I've come to rolling my Mazda, I know I got at least one tire off the ground swerving, because I got sideways on the brakes and felt my driver side rear tire re-connect with the pavement. Both cops had accidentally positioned themselves with their driver door directly in front of me, so if it were not for my reaction time, I would have killed both of them and gotten pretty messed up myself. You just know it would have been written up as my fault, too.

I just pulled over tonight. Bored NYS Trooper decided he wanted to look over my paperwork. Sometimes, hauling hazmat can suck.

speeding

Speeding (67 in a 45) in National forest by a FOREST RANGER $125.00 / no insurance $275.00 so $400.00 for a day of Wheeling :bawling: I guess it evens out the times I go 3X the speed limit on my ZX-14 :thefinger: I also got pulled over in the ranger for 1 tail light but when me and the MAN walked to the rear of the truck it was working fine :icon_confused: he asked if I had been drinking and I said NO! I Don't drink! He never asked for licence or anything ,he just waved and said sorry sir and walked to his car and left, they must have been looking for a small pick-up or something -BTW this was in Lakewood Wa. the most prolific city on COPS!:headbang:

ZX-14 = poser bike. Ask around. lol

never got tickets in my parents car, though i should have.
in my truck:
rolling a stop sign (i was going ~20mph lol)
speeding (92 in a 65)
no front license plate
smoked tail lights
warnings for a lot of stuff:
tint, no front plate (after i got the fix it ticket. cop didn't see it had 4 bolts holding it to the skid plate), license plate light too bright (zip ties let the plate rotate), no mudflaps

in my room mate's suv with him driving, i got a ticket for interference w/ driver or mechanism. i pulled the e brake coming up to a stop sign. the truck LOVED to lock the rear wheels and just slide. cop ended up writing the wrong date to appear, corrected it with another wrong date, then didn't show up to court when i went to fight it. the cop was a dick too, he made us wait for 45 minutes while he watched his partner help an obviously drunk lady put her spare tire on her jeep and drive off, then told us he was sorry to make us wait but not sorry he was giving us tickets (room mate got a broken windshield fix it ticket).
