What engine oil are you using?

Of all the different oils I have experimented with during my Rangers last 100000kms, Motul x-cess 8100 5w-40 synthetic is by far the oil that is most stable under heavy loads and lesser noise during start-up from cold. i change oil every 8000km.

Amsol 5W30 synthetic for the last 12k miles. It seems to be the only thing that keeps my lifters quiet. Any thing thicker or pumped out of the ground and they start ticking after a few thousand miles.

why do I use a synthetic blend rather than full synthetic or regular oil?
Simple. It's what I like!
