Got a few days worth. Maybe I mentioned that I got my second bad spot in the kitchen floor patched up, if not, now I did. Did that Christmas day IIRC. Couple of spots still to address, not to the point that I'm going to cut them out, more like they've just sagged a little. I'm going to reenforce them from the bottom, then fill with felt paper before going down with 5mm thick underlayment ply over the whole thing. First I'm taking a break for a few days/week.
Saturday was more or less my first Christmas gathering of the year. My sister wanted everyone over, then after I went and tried out one of the (not quite) local indoor shooting ranges. Was nice, non-membership rate only $20 an hour for two people on an lane, I can't go often enough to make membership worth the cost. Still not my kind of place, I'd rather be on an outdoor shooting range, but it was available and much clooser than the hunting club I've never made it to. More on that over in the firearms thread when I get around to it. Then a stop at the near by Bass Pro to restock some of the ammo I'd expended.
Then Sunday at Grandma's for the second gathering. After that it was a stop by Academy, Harbor Freight, and Home Depot. More money spent on ammo and stuff for the ongoing house project.
Yesterday was back to work and my quarterly dibetes appointment. That went better than expected. A1C is stable from last visit. Need it to come down some, it shot up a bit after dad passed this summer. I haven't done anything to really try and bring it down and with the house and work gatherings I hadn't really eaten right the last few weeks before the bloodwork. Glad that it wasn't higher, and it shouldn't be too hard to get it back to my normal once the holidays are passed. Was pleasently surprised that my blood sugar at the appointment was good and that my blood pressure had come back down to normal from last visit.
Then today it was back to harbor freight trying to spend some money. That was mostly while I waited on an order to be ready for pickup at the Advance Auto next door. New (reman) starter is now on hand for the F-250. Hopefully I can get that replaced tomorrow, and have it moving towards its new home by the weekend. I kind of hate to see it go, but it hasn't left the yard in over 6 months and I don't need so many vehicles. Fortunately it's only going to my brother-in-law so I'll be close if I need it, and I'll keep option available to get it back if he no longer needs/wants it.
