What did YOU do today?

It warmed up a little so cleaned out the chicken house, sure doesn’t stay clean long when its cold & 15 birds stay in the building all the time. only takes 2 trips with the gator though, its a lot easier than the lawn deere & dump trailer. Didnt even put the tire chains on it, Doubt it leaves the garage until spring. Read about putting a pvc pipe over the bottom edge of the 3-point blade so you dont tear up a gravel driveway during snow removal. Might try that tomorrow, possible snow returning soon, be a good chance to try it out at my parents drive. (mine is asphalt) Already have some 3” & 4” pvc on hand, not much else to do this time of year.
I’m not sure how well PVC will hold up to that kind of treatment. I saw a thing years ago recommending a 2” or 2.5” steel pipe. I have a section of old gas/oil pipe that I was going to try it with for my truck plow and never got around to slitting it and making it work

I'll agree with the pvc not holding up very well. Ive seen many folks in northern Michigan use steel pipe welded on a worn down cutting edge.

Yesterday, went out and hit up a couple creek crossings. It starting to sound like the other side wheel bearing is going now... :annoyed:

Convinced the wife to let me order a new toy:

Looking forward to playing some Master Chief Collection in maxed 1080p during our Christmas shutdown. If anybody wants to play co-op sometime between the 20th and the 2nd PM me.

Decided to be a couch potato today, 30 degrees, windy & starting to snow out. Just gonna leave my 3-point snow blade as it is. Everything is gassed up, pantry is full. Wife is baking so I guess I will have plenty ti snack on if I ever decide to get up from my recliner. Have a blanket on my lap held down by a sleeping dog. ‘Tis the season- to hibernate!

It's 57 degrees and sunny. Get out there and do something productive.

It was 2 degrees when I got up at 5 am. Warmed up to 10 and holding. Been snowing since about 7:30...

Wife got me a locking metal cabinet and 8 new ammo boxes for Christmas. Been arranging the safe and filling ammo boxes and new cabinet. She gave me the OK to make a little man space in the spare bedroom.

I'll head out and shovel and clean cars off when it stops.

Finally found and temporarily fixed the coolant leak on my superduty. Installed a new thermostat housing seal. Seems to be working at the moment.

Found out this is a known chronic problem with the stamped steel typ t-stat housing. So, I have a machined billet aluminum housing ordered. I went through a lot of coolant on this issue.
