What did YOU do today?

the bee people came to clear the house a few days later and said they had never see a hive that big in person.

that also explained why the top floor had plywood blocking the stair way so we couldn't go up there and it sounded like a high powered electrical system was running the whole time we were there. hundreds of thousands of bees flapping their wings

Here's the process on the tractor wheel, first is after I'd chipped all the rust off then taken the wire brush on the angle grinder to it, second is after primer then paint...

F-150 got the frame patched and a new battery yesterday, then a test drive. The battery that was in it was on the charger twice for several hours and wouldn’t budge off of 9.86 volts. Doesn’t show a drain so it shouldn’t be shorted internally but won’t charge either. Kinda weird. Gave up and just made a call, brand new battery showed up magically and the core left. Oh, and I mounted another toolbox on it, cross box across the side boxes at the front of the bed.

I got the left spare tire mount installed on the trailer (build thread). It was the one with the tightest clearance with the side board upright. So, I wanted to get that one done first in case things didn't go well.

Hauled an Oliver 88 today with the Aluminum Falcon. An 88 is quite a bit bigger than my A-C's but I almost think it hauled easier.

Since you've already got it loaded, how about hooking up the brush deck and taking care of my overgrown field (AKA backyard). Should be easy work for that beast.

A bunch of miscellaneous stuff today. Laundry, cleaning and lubricating the fan in the bed room.

Then there was the range hood over the stove...

I had to think very hard on this, and it made my head hurt all day, but I passed up the opportunity of a lifetime for my workshop, so I could work on the Road Ranger…

Hey, go for it. Self-control has never been my long suit, so what do you expect me to do for you?

It’s always a challenge when you have to come off the hip with a little green. I’m spoiled in my semi retirement that I have the time to look and find all this junk. A lathe has always been on my wish list, but at this point of my fading, feeble existence, that’s probably where it will remain unless there’s a ridiculous financial windfall from somewhere

I played the lottery a few times, but that thing is no good. I played five or six times and I still didn’t win…

Today I started off going to garage sales with the wife, got a few things, couple coffee cans of sprinklers and garden hose fittings, old classic BB gun, like 10' of 1/2" threaded rod, some tiller tires, a mini press/brake for sheet metal (only like 8.5" wide and good for 20ga but could still be good for something, was 20% of new price) and some other odds and ends... then when I got home I jumped on the tractor and mowed the back section then worked on the '97 Ranger...

I guess I have posted a bunch of stuff on chairs. In my defense, just for information, not whining or anything, I have a circulation/blood problem, which gives me severe leg pain on a regular basis. The choice is to lay down and die or deal with it, so I put chairs everywhere I need to do something.

A lot of the Road Ranger and the step trailer were built laying on the ground! The chairs are my crutch, and tinkering with these silly trucks is my therapy!

Put my thermostat controller in the chicken house, also added a switch so I could bypass it or shut off completely if needed. Typical sunday otherwise, cleaning the house, catching up on laundry & dishes & getting some rest in.
