What did YOU do today?

That looks to be a Nissan EV...

I don't see a tailpipe.

After driving in Fort worth, waco, San Antonio and Huston (twice) I am seriously up for driving home on gravel.

Did get to see some cool planes today though.

Wow! An old DC3? Those things were great workhorses in many military and civilian arenas for many years.

That just looks like regular traffic!?!? What’s the problem??

It was like an hour and a half of that BS.

An hour an a half where I am from is like 90 miles at close to the speed limit, not just across town. And everybody is driving like their hair is on fire.

And the interstates are weird here, I was thinking Forth Worth was lasting forever and then poof we are in Waco. Its like civilization just hangs on the sides along the interstate even though you are technically out of the city and it is constantly just hectic.

The yard was finally dry enough yesterday to cut it and chop of the leaves yesterday.

I've noticed everyone seems to drive that way here. Then if I'm in a store or walking everyone moseys around like there's all the time in the world. They're all in a hurry to get where they're going but once they are there it's the opposite.

For my senior design project in school our team worked for a guy that restored old airplanes. One of them was a DC-3 painted yellow and called Duggy, apparently based on a cartoon. It was at the museum in Fargo a lot. There's another (I think) DC-3 parked at a local airport here. I wonder if it flies...

Ordered some more crap for the ranger from ebay.. total came to 1$ more than it would of on rockauto.. but 6$ cheaper once my ebay rewards are factored in.

Felpro valve cover gasket kit, new tail lights, oil filter, and a front bumper valence with fog light cut outs.

Was hoping to get it ready to go this weekend... but its gonna pour both days 🙄😫

Might need to source a new valve cover once I tear into it.. I think it might actually be rotted through in a spot or two.. somehow.

Took a ride up to my buddys property.. it's pretty awesome. It's a bit 'out there'... but thats most of the appeal honestly.

Rode wheelers around a bit since there's trails everywhere, and came upon this old cemetery.

Nearly everyone in it died before WWI, and there was a handful of Civil War folks in it as well. Earliest birth that we could make out was 1782 or something.

Didn't blow the wheeler up either.. and it got a decent flogging lol. After flushing it with 3 gallons of oil I got rid of the vanilla milkshake and ended up at a lighter caramel color.. not optimal but close enough for me..

After 20 miles or so (with a few being WOT) it burned off the rest of the moisture in the oil and now looks as it should. I put some thicker than called for oil in it since I knew it was just gonna get thinned out a bit.. end of the day still no smoke or nasty noises. We made it!

Kinda want to ditch the thing for a twice-by-side though 🤔 getting old I guess.
FYI
Thats a grave yard, not a cemetary.

Yes... but not really.

Mmm I had to google... from wiki: 'The term graveyard is often used interchangeably with cemetery, but a graveyard primarily refers to a burial ground within a churchyard'

HA! Take THAT Florida man! Not a church for miles 😋

Ran the Fort Worth gautlet again... during rush hour this time and survived unscathed.

Just three more states to go before I get back home... hopefully tomorrow.
