What did YOU do today?

Picked up my sister and her family in san antonio at 1030pm. Their flight was supposed to leave at 0330 to come to texas but the pilot called in drunk and then the replacement guy got left in atlanta so their flight was delayed 12 hours. The airline gave then 50% of the ticket costs back but it made the whole day long for everyone.

The new ranger did its first 400 mile trip though. Man, that truck is so quiet and smooth. Even my brother-in-law coupdnt believe how quiet and smooth it was on the ride back from the airport. He has a 2015 tundra and wants something that gets better mileage so maybe he will get a ranger because he really really was impressed with this one.

Trip from corpus to leakey was 20mpg doing 80mph for 288 miles.
Trip from leakey to airport and back was 170 miles doing 75-80mph iand got 25mpg.

Did you get the 2.3 or 2.7?

How you like all that powerrrr?

My favorite part about New turbo stuff is NO LAG. instant boost.

The 2.3.

I really really like this truck. I wanted one since i test drove one in 2020 but the wife was dead against it since when we sat in it, from the front seatbelt forward, it looked just like her 2018 escape. This new body style is awesome though. The interior is so different.

But i am so happy with this truck. The ride, the comfort, the gas mileage, everything. I can tell that if this one gets worn out or to many miles, i will get another one because to me, its the perfect truck.

But, i have liked rangers since the small body style first came out. I drove my first ranger in 94 or 95 and it was a single cab 5 speed 86ish truck.

How in the world was it 288 miles to get there... 170 miles to get back with an extra stop?

Sorry, i didnt put enough info, it was two different drives.

We drove from corpus to my parent's house since the flight was delayed so much. Than we drove from their house to the airport and back to get everyone.

The original plan was for us to take the ranger and the wife's wrangler from corpus to san antonio airport to get everyone, and then from the airport to my parent's.

Isn’t that similar to what happened to you on the first trip to Attica?

I think it was longer to get to LBL last year than it was to get back too...

Ask and receive... here's pics of the start and where we got to minus the tinkering I did last night pulling the rat runs

Getting the beam in place got a little interesting, we used those support stands and at one point had the 6' ladder in the mix too with a ratchet strap pulling it to the wall... was the least sketchy way I could think of, too gooey outside to get the tractor over and it's loader leaks pretty bad so it would have been miserable to try that...

he cut a lot of donuts, heading out there…

It took 6 months and three trips to the courthouse but I finally got our "new" camper in my name.

Registration says for trailers under 2k just sign it over.
Nope, campers are the exception, even trailers with tents made into the top of them, gotta have a title.
But wait just a title isn't enough, Not even with the registration that has the buyer/seller and sale price
Gotta have a bill of sale too.
