What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Drove my '93 XL with WAY more than 300K miles on it after a ICM change, found an issue, and came back to the forums looking for answers, found that apparently my last post was in 2017. So posted my issue, posted my location, and commented here, realizing eight years flew by, and none of my projects on MY vehicles got worked on, and all the quick improvements for the '93 are still stacked on a pallet in the barn, the last time I welded was making a quick 3-point log skidder frame right after Helene, and box for my "new" 20-ton HF press has completely disintegrated a long time ago, but at some point I converted my first 20 ton press to air over hydraulic.
:icon_confused:
And like the run-on sentence above, apparently my life has been in a run-on phase.
congratulations, you are hereby certified Normal in the Ranger world.

Traded it in. My wife was concerned about the costs of repainting it, reupholster long the seat, replacing gaskets for the upper oil pan and rear main seal and the age of the truck.

She insisted on replacing it instead of fixing it.

It seems to me that fixing it would be cheaper but different strokes for different folks.

What did you end up trading it in for?

Another Ranger. 😁

2021 XLT 4x4 with the sport package. It's got all these features that I have no idea about and there's no owners manual to tell me. 😱

I like it!

That is one thing I hate about the used vehicle market. It's a crap shoot on whether the vehicle comes with one or not.

While better than nothing, you should be able to download a PDF version from Ford. Helm sells new paper copies. Ebay might have one as well.

There is a bit of a learning curve going from your old truck to the technology leap the new Rangers have but you'll figure it out.

Congrats!

Sold the rustbucket ‘87.

Replaced the plugs in the ‘07 with Bosch Double Iridium plugs.

A lot of used-vehicle dealers actually throw away the original documentation that came with the vehicle. I have never understood this practice. The original owner's manual will answer questions nothing else can.
