What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Reconnected my swaybar, and took the rest of my aftermarket stuff off the truck. Couldn't find my damn stock lugnuts.. so looks like it'll get traded off with the black aftermarket ones -__- oh well.

Hopefully the check from selling my stocks comes in soon... super anxious to get all this over with and be smiling in a bronco.
btw have you installed traction bars?

Refined my rear window pattern a little more and traced it on the Lexan. Next comes the scary part - not screwing it up while cutting.

They seem to make sense, not just for hot rodding but also rough potholed roads and maybe even in the winter too.
I was planning on doing a write up on them, but overall they're a net positive, especially for the price.

They take all of the bounce out of the rear, and massively reduce hopping.

Granted, I'm on 1750lb springs with a shackle lift and a 3° or 4° axle wedge. So YMMV.

But the truck hooks up on switchbacks and gravel s m o o t h now. Improved handling enough to where I'm now doing front coilovers. Front feels like crap compared to rear end.

Fill up the bed with mushroom soil to take over the in-laws tomorrow. About one yard, so about 1000lbs.

You and that other guy, put the bug in my ear. So I have an email sent to the mushroom farm down the road asking about selling a yard to me.
Thanks everyone.

When it comes to handling, I'm a little bit of a junkie. Please feel free to write something up.

If you're cutting g it with a handheld jigsaw, attach some felt, or at least a layer of masking tape to the bottom of the saw so it can't scratch.

I find a layer of duct tape works pretty well, as it sticks well to the saw but is slippery on the other side so it doesn't stick like masking tape can, and doesn't fill up with sawdust like the felt can, because the sawdust can still scratch stuff.

I used the green Ranger yesterday and today…

As a workbench…

bent up a rebar hook for use with my tree climbing and fixed a couple tools.

Cut it wide, then sand it back.

At least that’s what my dog Lincoln says.

Much smarter than me.

On my stuff, mailbox is kicking my ass!

& use 24 metal blade, take your time…

I use my benchtop bandsaw for plexi, works GREAT, combine that with a benchtop belt/disc sander and you have a winning combo... neither works good on steel (disc sander does a number, too underpowered for shaping steel on the belt sander) but aluminum, wood and plexi they are magical...

I like to put the masking tape on the Lexan itself, that way, as you get crumbs built up under the bottom the jig saw or table of the band saw, the crumbs don't scratch the plexi.

Drove it back and forth to work.

After reverting back to the stock exhaust from my muffler delete I can definitely say for certain that the muffler delete actually 'did something'

She feels a little choked up in certain ranges and lugs ever so slightly at its usual cruising rpms now.
