What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Going to drive my ranger to the mountains today for some alone time as I recently found out that my girlfriend died from covid-19 last week. She flew to England to see family around a month ago. Not sure how she got it...miss you Rebecca..rip.

To covid-19..šŸ–•šŸ–•šŸ–•..

My deepest condolences..

I can't even imagine...

Topped off the R134a because it was raining, humid and the windshield was fogging but my a/c was nt getting cool enough to help. Stopped at harbor freight and snagged some long handle wrenches, ratchet straps and an oil filter wrench for the truck.

Oh man... sorry for your loss. :(

miss you Rebecca..rip.

So sorry. Absolutely, both of you, your family & friends, in my, and my family’s prayers.

If you feel like it, why don’t you tell us a little about Rebecca? What made her special? What’re your favorite moments?

Thanks. I don't think I've seen a single older Ranger with an undamaged window trim piece; makes you wonder why Ford thought an elastomeric coating was a good idea over bare aluminum? I usually try and apply a zinc chromate etching primer for any aluminum or magnesium item. Finished the hitch recoat today also. Now I need to brush up on my HVLP painting skills to repair paint/clearcoat damage on each door. This Ranger is like my Frankenstein and I get to experiment with new techniques and repairs to keep busy.

They aren’t the only ones that do that. My Honda CR-Vs had the same treatment and issues.

She was my little doll..she was a giver and never a taker, she loved me unconditionally..that is only a small sample of who she was. She is the best woman I have ever known in my life, we met almost 20 years ago, and have been a couple for 5 years. I was going to ask her to marry me this summer when she came back home. Now I need to prepare for other things.

What an honor to have trs condolences for my loss. The mountains did help some, yet today is hard, and how I will move forward without her is going to be hard.

You are loved.

We can’t give you back what you have lost, but we can be here for you,

Another term for ā€œgriefā€ is ā€œfear.ā€ It’s horrible if you are alone. But you are not. A few thoughts for you:

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Matthew 5:4

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

And for you, for all TRS supporters and believers:

Who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer.
2 Corinthians 1:4

I’d like to think I speak for all the TRS guys and gals in this, although I have no such authority. I think I’m moved to butting into this because of yesterday’s Remembrance. I didn’t know all the soldiers and sailors and service men and woman who have passed, but I honor and respect them nonetheless. I was happy to attend the service and support those in attendance who grieved and remembered, and share that experience here in support of those who remain.

I did not know Rebecca, I’m sure most didn’t know her either. I really don’t know you. But, thank God, I have known love, and, unfortunately, I have lost loved ones and I have mourned and hurt. We all have. Unfortunately, this is your turn, your time.

First and foremost, believe and be comforted in Him; seek His help and guidance; remember He works in His way and His time. He sacrificed His Son, whom we know He loved, so we would know this and have a path to knowledge, healing and salvation - eternal happiness.

Second, to the last verse, while I don’t know you or Rebecca, you are not alone in your loss and grief, we all are with you in that portion of life, hurt and need for healing. And we all pray for Rebecca, her family and friends, and for you, and those who love you and you love.

Please reach out for anything you need, for any assistance I, or the others, can provide.

Rick W:TRS 6.1.21

If I could reach out and give each of you a handshake, I would. In the last few years I have lost 3 of my closest friends, and in the past year I have lost 4 more people I knew from covid...now my little doll..😭.

Thanks so much trs.
