What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Im frightened and confused!

Funny, that’s how I was when I thought of it!!

& @Roert42 might be interested to know I’ve been looking for a 77-79 Ranchero brougham for a couple years to do a “Mark R” conversion. If you search the internet, you can find a couple early Marks turned into trucks by cutting half the roof off, I’d like to do the opposite. I wouldn’t do that with Rustoleum.

There's an old guy around here with a beat up 70's lincoln convertible. He took the trunk off, back seats gone, and the roof is all taken out. He uses it as a pickup truck to go to the dump to get mulch. That thing must haul close to a full ton of mulch without squatting. He loads the whole trunk and back seat over the top and half of it spills out as he drives away. :icon_rofl:

Your truck reminds me of him.

Hey, my 78 Mark V’s frame is more stout than my F250HD! & that bored 460 would pull Stone Mountain down the road if you could get a hitch on it!

And that's coming from a guy who use to drive around in a rusted out windowless perv van with "NJ Alligator Removal Service" painted on the side....

Got a delivery today, catch cans. 1 for the ranger & 1 for the escape. I made one for the hhr, hasnt caught much yet which is surprising given the way I drive it at times. Hopefully will put it on tomorrow.

I kind of beat on it today. A hard day of wheeling. Something was wrong with my e-fan wiring, so it overheated. Hot-wired the fan to be on constantly and wheeled the rest of the day. Blew out the driver side hub. Backed out of a rocky trail, went back to the parking lot and installed the spare hub. Continued wheeling.

I'm dead tired, proud of my truck, proud of my newly built skills and awesomely happy about the whole day.

Well, my red Ranger went for a little jaunt on the highway today. After I got home from work, got my brother and we ran up the highway to meet my parents so my brother could drive for them. About a 2 hour run up and another 2 right back. Little old thing did well.

Brought it back from the shop. It idled nicely and ran fine for them (plus no codes flashed) so chalked it up to bad gas. Got an oil change, tire rotation, new front brakes and rotors while it was there. Jessie is feeling better.

drank some cold refreshments and thought about what ill spend my stimulus check on......?

Drug home my new to me MIG welder.

Then drank beer and watched my brother change the spark plugs. Called it “training”
