What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

A regular artist!
It’s a terribly done quick and dirty paint job, but from 30’ it looks pretty decent. I don’t really have the time to do a good job and there’s a bunch of bodywork to be done at some point but for now… it’s good

Looks good navy camo inspired?
Well, originally I did the two color blue camo to hide the three or four colors of different parts. I did it just for the fun of it and free-handed the whole thing. Then I fell in love with it and here we are…

Plus with camo, you don’t have to worry about over spray and clean lines.

i like those camp paint jobs. i did a jeep once and it was really good looking, too.

i got bored at work though, and downloaded the army regulation on painting vehicles so i could get as close to military camo as i could. it was kind of hard to find the colors they call for though so i just grabbed the browns, greens, and tans from walmart

The hard one to find is Field Drab for the brown. Deep Forest Green, Army Green, Black, and Sand are available at Walmart if you are going for the original four color camo.

If you are going for the NATO standard, it’s Brown, Black, and Olive Drab. Again, available at Walmart.

Well, finished the new paint work for the Choptop, got the harness back together and in place on the F-150, just need to fish out and attach a bracket for the 7-pin trailer plug and put the new license plate light on when it gets here. Then I got the mower deck off and tore apart to do the spindles. Gonna have to clean the deck and sharpen the blades while it’s apart. Might see if I can modify it to lift the deck a little higher too. Hate to spend all the time when I need to mow soon, but I’ll be better off if I do it right. Anyway…

You take that thing off any sweet jumps or what?

Ah, no, I don’t think I’ll be trying to jump that. Might result in some rather unwanted consequences. It’s a giant spring toy.

My Rangers, however, well… My blue 2000 was airborne so many times with full send back in the day that I put a Dixie horn in place of the horn…

I may or may not have sent a couple other Rangers airborne as well. But as not all we’re mine, well, we shall just leave it there for now…

Finally got the 5.0L out of the '00 Explorer, it didn't want to... why in the world did they make the wire harness able to be disconnected from the engine and the ECM right at the back of the engine but it doesn't do anything if you disconnect it? Body harness and Engine/transmission harness? stupid design for service, fine for having an engine and transmission on a chassis and dropping a body on it but that's dumb... I tested the tensile strength of the drivers side front O2 sensor and broke #4 injector connector before I realized what was going on... boat engine harness are way nicer since there's just a connector to undo and bob's your uncle...

So now tomorrow night I'll get it on an engine stand and start tearing it apart... the rest of the evening I'll probably look for parts and maybe start ordering...

If you're talking about this one...

I saved it from when you posted it somewhere previously.

I'm gonna use it for inspiration when I do the G-Unit. It's gonna get three shades of gray and a touch of black.

You wouldn't have any more pictures of it would you?

Yo

i can look for more pics. not sure how good they are though
