What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

Just ordered some of these for lighting projects. First one is to install LED lights in the cutouts on my new rear Steelcraft bumper.

Finished up modifying the rear tire carrier donated to me by @ericbphoto. Think it turned ok good. Plus it's not rubbing my brake lines haha. Ford say my new line will be in today but still no word. Hopefully it will show so I have the weekend to change and flush the system.

Does that frame have much movement from side to side?

No @ericbphoto had welded a nut inside the tube so it doesn't thave a pin. It mounts with a 1/2" bolt. I bounced it through the yard and very little movement. I will be able to tell you more once I get it offroad. Oh and my CNC guy will be in Monday. I'll see of he will draw up the inner armrest compartment.

Bought oil filters at Walmart last night, the Ranger and my daughter's car use the same one. Motorcraft filters have been $3.97 since forever and last night the price jumped to $8.44. Let's go Brandon.

So... how do you open the tailgate?

Fold down?

Remove?

I ask because even my swing out is a PITA.

Most times I use my truck... as a truck... I just remove the damn thing.

Also... thanks again for the bottle jack. I had it out yesterday helping a neighbor.

Yes it folds down. Eric had already engeneered the folding mechanism. I just flipped it upside down and backwards since he had it folding into the bed. After living with it for a day. I think I'm going to cut it down shorter and put my plate on it. I keep it high so I wouldn't have to move my plate. But right now it makes my camera and my rear view mirror useless haha. Still better than rubbing brake lines haha.

I'm glad you found a use for the jack. That reminds me that I need to grab 1 and through back in the truck. I actually have 2 of the older orange ones in my garage. Hope yours serves you well haha

I actually wondered why you didn't go lower... then I saw you built it so you could see the plate. Relocation of the plate and lowering it is a good idea IMHO.

Yeah I hardly use the camera unless hooking to a trailer and I wouldn't have the tire in there then. But I do use the mirrors. It's the first truck I've had with a back up camera and still not used to it. I do horrible trying so I still just look in my mirrors. Zane is always remi ding me. Hey dad. You have a camera haha

I totally forgot to bring you the plate relocation bracket. I even have lights wired on it. They plug into trailer wiring. If you want it, don't spend money making one.

I definitely will need it. I'm gonna cut about 7.5 in off and it will block my plate. I cannjust hang it with wire ties till next time I see you or I do have Venmo now haha. Maybe I can figure out how to send tou some money for shipping.

We can work something out.

I ordered a new dash panel off EBay (actually it was a few panels.) I’m pretty sure I told @Jim Oaks and @Robertmangrum.rm what I’m planning. $75 plus shipping wasn’t too bad.

I’ll post some pics when everything arrives and I pull my dash apart to see if my idea will work.

It's a cool idea. Looking forward to seeing if it works out.
