What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

Trying to leep up wuth those guys on the highway in Colorado, I started alternating between riding on the 2 left tires, then the 2 right side tires, then back to the left...
I was taking it easy because my truck feels a little top heavy with the RTT.

I still have scuff marks on the bottom of my mirrors from Kentucky...

Which I was thankful for. More because the deflaters I had with me were set for the 2011. The tires really should have been a bit higher in psi.

New Hankook tires. One size upgrade. Originals were 265-65-17.

New are 265-70-17, which is 1.1 inch taller. They look great and drive great. No degradation of handling.

To be clear, I never had Hankooks before but these factory Hankooks have been fantastic. I have 75,000 miles and still had 5/32nds on all 4 tires. I am going on a Colorado trip later this week (Taylor Park Reservoir, then up to a friend's Condo just outside of Breckenridge.) I wanted fresh meat for this trip.

Looking forward to the trip. Lots to prepare for and pack........

Looking good

Minor emergency with a lady friend of Mrs. O. Her boyfriend passed away and she had to clean out his apartment. Hoarder situation and I'm the guy with a truck. After a short while I notice that she doesn't want to throw away a lot of useless and junky stuff.
"Pssst, Sweetie, I'm thinking her house isn't going to be a lot better."
It wasn't.

Installed Mike’s Build Shop replacement automatic transmission dip stick. Huge upgrade. Great product exceptional quality. Easy to install if have you have a little mechanical ability. Installation instructions are very easy understand and follow. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had the factory Hankooks and they were perfectly fine on road. I never had a complaint with them in that regard. They did introduce me to the highway all terrain concept. I found out the hard way that they were most definitely NOT all terrain tires, regardless of what the Ford literature or the sidewall says.

Today I greased my slip joint. Ask me why. Okay, I’ll tell you. A little background 1st. When I bought my 2019 Ranger (which I love by the way) about 6 months ago I noticed a shudder/heavy vibration coming from the driveline. Initially thought it was the wheels and tires, it wasn’t. After some investigation and research I found out it was and bad drive shaft carrier bearing. Bought a Tom Wood’s custom drive shift. Great product if your thinking about it and easy to put on. It wasn’t easy to get the 2-piece OEM 1 off though. It smoothed everything right out. Now to the point. A little over a week ago I noticed a bump in the driveline when accelerating from a stop a breaking to a stop. Thought it was the transmission. It wasn’t. I didn’t heed the email from Tom Wood’s that said it’s time to grease your slip joint (thank you Tom Wood’s). After greasing, it was immediately back to smooooooth sailing again.

FYI, research was done on TRS by the way.

I want to do this change on my 2019. I haven't had any issues yet, but I eventually will.

So, the slip joint greasing, is that a one time thing after installation or a recurring item after so many miles driven?

I believe they recommend giving it a squirt of grease during every oil change. But knowing me I’ll be lucky to do it once or twice a year

Does it have a zirc or do you need to drop an end so you can extended it and expose the splines?
