what coils to use???

Do the math and you can figure out exactly how much it'll compress under the weight of your rig. 240 sounds right but idk about the height exactly.

Now on SAS, you may be okay with a softer rate.... Idk.

Im looking for a stiffer rate as I feel my RC springs are too soft. Yes I have a SAS so lengths are ok. What I don't know is a weight of the front end of my rig. Not easy to get either...

If you know your compressed height, uncompressed height, and spring rate... You can figure out the other number.

Ahhh. I gotcha now.

Get me the numbers and I'll help you out. When I get on my ipad or laptop tonight or tomorrow night I'll search for the post from Legoms with the explanation of how it works.

It's in my build thread somewhere

close enough:thefinger:

it sure as hell is not that perfect though.

with the softer coils, running the bags insidethem offers the max capacity from the setup.

worth consideration.

Thx 4.0!! Here's what I came up with:

F=(190 lbs/in)(22.5 in - 16.5 in)

F=(190 lbs/in)(6 in)

F=1140 lbs

My B2 has its orig 2.9/5 spd with a D30 SAS from an XJ. Custom winch bumper and winch w steel cable. Does that number jive? If so, what PPI rate should I be running for best offroad stability/ride?
