if anybody could give me a guess as to his breed and age, that would be cool. i know its kinda hard to tell. we are thinking pit bull/boxer mix, probably about 6 months old.

he's extremely playful. acts like he used to be an outside pet, skittish about going through doors. and according to my g/f, he acts like he's already really attached to me. btw, the backstory: he was basically being abused and thrown out of his house, and my boss was near by. he said something to the guy and he just said something like 'you want him? take him!' so here he is after a good bath, he needs his nails trimmed. unfortunately, my mom is totally opposed to anything pit bull, so he's going back with my boss tomorrow.

nothing wrong with pits, all based off the person who raises him, which gives them the bad rep, my uncle has 1 in virgina, and has no problem with it around the kids

That little guy appears to be a yankee Pit bull terrier. nothing wrong with them just something wrong with people that raise them wrong.
i have one and he's great.

If you havent already, dont give him away. That is one bitchin dog. My brother has a pitbull. She is the cutest, most lovable dog there is. It's true, pit bulls are all on how you raise them, as well as every dog. My brother lives with his girl firend, shes trainning to become a vet, and shes got the dog, and loves her to death... Just to show you that some one who really knows things about pets has a pit bull as well. They dont get that big, but they are really strong. They are so fun to play tug-o-war with.

yeah, i'd really like to keep him but i live with my mom and her husband and they wont let it fly. i know they have a bad rap and i know its all for no good reason. he's a great dog. once he settled down, he just wanted to lay there and relax with me. as long as i was petting him he was happy as hell. he does need major attention to the potty training issue. he shit on one of my blankets. i cant blame him though, he's a strange dog in a strange place. on top of that i doubt he was ever really potty trained. tomorrow he will be going back to work with me. today he stayed in another building we own but dont use too much. he will probably stay there again tomorrow, until we either find him a home or adopt him as a shop pet. (i like the second idea)

shop pet awesome.. get him a big ole blanket...an he will be good to go.

it sounds funny but make sure you guys take good care of him and play with him maybe, make it so he goes home with some one atleast one night a week to make sure he is socialized well. Maybe your boss will let you take the dog to the dog park while you are at work. The most important part of raising a dog/pit bull is to make sure the dog is socialized and well taken care of and played with. also any terrier are a dog that get bored easy and get into trouble. keep him out of trouble by playing/exercise and keep him tired. good luck and have a good time playing with him.

if u do keep him/her u might want to look into if u have to get him/her registered or not, i know in WI we have to register them as lethal weapons ( on account of the bad rap)

wow that is retarted I hate stupid people. not you slammed I just want to make sure I wasn't calling you stupid.

if i remember right its for pits, rotts, and i can't remember the other ones but i think there is 2 more breads u have to register in wi. i know a few ppl with pits and and rotts and just as everyone already said it but it is all in how they are raised, it's all cause of the michael vicks of the world

He looks like a great pup. Good advice with socializing / exercising him, at the very least it'll keep him from getting bored and destroying things.
Buy him a Nylabone and a black kong toy, he'll probably rip anything else to shreds. I hope he finds a good home. As a last resort, there are no-kill shelters...
