Picked up a book yesterday at Barnes and Noble and havent been able to put it down and got to thinking it might be nice to see what everyone else is reading.

Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer. Its the story of Christopher Johnson who hitchhiked to Alaska to live off the land and was found dead months later.

I just read Fight Club. Awesome.

Hunting Eichmann by Neal Bascomb. Incredible story.

Before that, Stalingrad: The Fateful Siege written by Antony Beevor. Very well researched.

Really liked that Krakauer book and another he wrote about Mt. Everest.

I have over 300 books... usually go through 1-3 a week, everything from fiction, to history, to classics, to bibliographies.... might be easier to ask what I don't read (you will NOT find any harry potter in my library...).

i am reading deep six by clice cussler. read several of his books, great reads.

I'm reading Denison's Ice Roads this is about the guy who started making ice roads in northern Canada more like the North West Territories i highly recommend it even to the non Canadian folk very well done books and talks a lot about the custom trucks they make to get the job done and about breaking through the ice with their machinery hard to put down! Im also reading a motor book about Offroading its really interesting for all the newbs out there it teaches truck repair and customizing all the way to survival skills and not leaving foot prints great book btw i highly suggest going to your chapters book store and looking for it!

I just finished Long Way Down, and have now moved on to "The Treehouse Voyage" by TRS's very own William Wills.

if you like into the wild i bet you would like
one man's wilderness: an alaskan odyssey by sam keith
its about a guy who builds a cabin by hand with hand tools in Alaska and lives there, living off the land etc. etc. etc. theres an old movie that was made with the actual guy making the cabin and stuff its purtty cool.

BUT its prolly the best book ive ever read , but considering.....

its the only book ive been able to read in like 8 years.

The Road to Riches...Jay something or other...

Good book about how our economics started and how economies have fluctuated over the years...and how war and pestilence creates new opportunities when we have too many people to feed...

Hmmm....

i am reading deep six by clice cussler. read several of his books, great reads.

he is one of my favorite authors. I have read all of his Dirk Pitt novels, and have most of them in hard cover. (from Treasure to his latest, plus Vixen 03)

Check out The Chase sometime. it is not a Dirk Pitt novel, but it is fairly decent, and written in the same manner that the Dirk Pitt novels are written.
