soooo my start of the year has greeted me with: a ranger with 4 mismatched tires and now one has a flat, a F150 with a blown brake line, and work stress overload with one job, great stuff:annoyed:

Welcome to the club!

Only one of my trucks is driveable at the moment, never managed to get my plow put together and mounted either. Everything else needs fixed.

Also tried to help my 'rents out and fix their trucks... spent 4 days rebuilding the brake system on my dad's F-350 and it still has a brake issue (I'm flat out of ideas at this point - new brake lines, new wheel cylinders, new calipers, new shoes and pads, new rotors, new brake booster, new master cylinder and the brake pedal still goes halfway to the floor with no resistance.)

Tried to work on mom's Explorer and every time something gets fixed, something else goes wrong. Spent a full week replacing the struts because of problems.

Tried to swap motors in dad's Ranger and found the replacement motor is junk. Got another motor and got in the middle of "making it work" when the cold weather got here. Lucky me, no garage to work in, so it's been sitting in all the global warming.

And I don't want to get started with all the crap I had to fix on my F-150.... I've probably sunk $500 into it in the last month.

And I've been busier than all get out with work.

life is just full of joy at times isnt it

whats the fun if everything is free or easy?
grab that bitch by the horns!(life that is)

On my way to work this morning I discovered my truck has developed an exhaust leak... Good be worse I suppose.

Let me tell ya about my past month.

On the 10th my girlfriend got a DUI in my ranger. 700 dollars to get it back. Shes going to be losing her license for a year.

On the 18th (two days after her birthday) I was on my lunch break, and someone pulled out in front of me in the midst of mall traffic, attempting to cross from one shopping plaza to another, crossed the line of cars to my left as i was going 40 mph in an empty lane and BAM, totalled her 04 civic.

Totaling her car is shitty for a couple reasons. It got great gas mileage (i deliver pizzas part time.) My trucks got about 175,000 miles on it, and now im delivering pizzas in it, getting horrible gas mileage and now im having suspension/steering problems. I was on lunch at a car wash where i was getting about 4 hours a week and that was the first busy day of the season, we were sopposed to be busy for the next month, and i was scheduled for over forty hours (My first opportunity to make good money there) and i messed my neck up in the accident and didnt work for two weeks. We still havent gotten a rental car from the other guys insurance company, or even a check to pay off the civic. She got the civic for about 11k with 6% interest, and the best deal she can get from a dealership now is 17 ****ING PERCENT APR!! Thats only for a car with under 80 k miles on it too.

Looks like we wont be enjoying a new(ish) car for a while.

Ive got a new evo 4g for free (AWESOME PHONE!) that has a screen thats been cracked to shit, the phone still worked great, it just had a nasty cosmetic problem. I got a new screen from the grandparents on christmas eve. When i went to change it a shard of glass popped inward and punched a hole in the lcd screen. Screen was ****ed, paid seventy dollars for a new lcd screen and it wont be in until tomorrow.

Started the new year off with one car and one phone between the two of us. atleast we still have both our pups.

One less drunk driver off the road... :dunno:

Sorry about the bad luck MN, just keep on truckin' :icon_thumby:

Right there with you guys. still haven't found a new home for the ranger....

i moved about 100 miles and don't have a garage yet. the goal was to have a garage or barn to move the ranger in to before the new year.... still nothing, the ranger is still sitting 100 miles away with no progress in over a month

ahh will need some shelter. how bout some tarps and alotta 2x4s?

I'm sure the landlord would love that. i live in an apartment

I'd like not to get kicked out. that might just make my 2011 worse

not only would the ranger be homeless, so would i!
