what a great start to the new year....not

Never hurts to ask, tell 'em how cool it is! Offer up a ride when she's finished!

a ranger with 4 mismatched tires and now one has a flat

sucks, tires ain't cheap! Junk yard might sell you tire/rim combos for cheaper than a used tires. I know I bought a tire and rim for a car I had for $15, but this was 10 years ago or so.

Know what??

I am glad that:

I HAVE NO ISSUES!!!!!!

Well my new year started with a completely blocked toilet. Had to pull the whole thing apart to clear the blockage. Moral of the story is, DON'T LET THE GRANDKIDS FLUSH THE TOILET UNTIL YOU'VE LOOKED WHAT THEY'VE PUT DOWN THERE,

new years greeted me with the flu. didnt want to call in work, so my dumb ass went yesterday in the cold with the wind blowing, and only worked half a day, then had to call in today. if i woulda just called in yesterday and slept it off i woulda only have missed 10 hours instead of 15:bawling:

My day started off on Dec. 31, 2010. Jumped in the Blazer with my mom to go somewhere. No further than 25 yards from the house do I realize something is not right with the Blazer, it is listing to the right side. Told her to stop and let me check the tires. So enough, passenger rear was dead flat. Told her not to drive any further, so not to destroy a perfectly good tire. Popped the spare and then realized the spare is over 10 years old, in fact, it is the OEM spare, never used till that day. So for safety reasons, the Blazer's getting a new spare tire and the regular tire was fixable under a tire service argeement (free). Now watch something else brake right before we take the Blazer traveling to North Carolina in May.

On Jan 1, 2011. One on the Gargage's flourescent lights was acting up. One bulb would light up, but not the other. Even after replacing the tubes. Turns out, the ballast was going out. So I wanted to upgrade them to T8 with electronic ballasts. But my dad wanted to keep the old style T12 so he can use up his box of tubes. My dad wins because I didn't want to agrue. But oddly, he wanted me to buy 3x fixtures instead of just 1x. I had no clue why. I bought 2x fixtures since the other one will probably go shortly too. When I get home, he tells me then his grand plan. He wanted to add more lights to the garage and keep the old good fixture. Instead, I just bought 2x more new fixtures. I figured I would also be kind and install them too, since he had knee surgery about 2 weeks ago. After 3 hours later, the garage now has ample lighting, except for a few things. Those tubes he kept in the box were very old, and didn't want to work. And the new fixtures still use the magnetic ballasts, so they all buzz when turning on and humm when in use. The tubes flicker as they warm up. I just shook my head, instead of saving some money by staying with T12 fixtures. Now all the tubes will need to be replaced any ways. And if I just went with the T8 fixtures, there wouldn't be these problems. I think as these tubes go and the spares go, I will upgrade the fixtures one by one to the T8's till they are all upgraded.

i thought 2010 was bad... had to put in a new well in Dec...$7,000. then discovered my ranger was leaking at the rear main and oil pan. now it's 2011 and my winter beater (dakota with a 5.2/auto) just broke the flex plate.
then my wife is buying a townhouse and the lender wants 15% down instead of the usual 7.5% because they decided it's a second home even though she is currently renting an apt and works full time 150 miles from our place here northern Mn. and has been doing that for the past 9 years!
yep, it just keeps getting better and better!
Happy Frick'n New Year

Fuel pump went out on the 30th, bout 30 miles from my spare parts. Went to start my F150 the next day and it went click. Replaced tboth solenoids on it, spent 70 bucks that I really didn't have. then the water pump decides to go out. Got the fuel pump fixed in my B2. F 150 doesn't get drove much, have my dad's chevy hay truck as a back up for now.

Not too bad here. A seal, on my 4 wheeler, blew. That took about 2.5 hours and $50 to fix.

And the cruise control buttons, in my truck, snapped off. Got those on Amazon for $50 and free two day shipping.

ay ay ay.

we need a TRS version of AAA im thinking

Let me tell ya about my past month.

On the 10th my girlfriend got a DUI in my ranger. 700 dollars to get it back. Shes going to be losing her license for a year.

On the 18th (two days after her birthday) I was on my lunch break, and someone pulled out in front of me in the midst of mall traffic, attempting to cross from one shopping plaza to another, crossed the line of cars to my left as i was going 40 mph in an empty lane and BAM, totalled her 04 civic.

Totaling her car is shitty for a couple reasons. It got great gas mileage (i deliver pizzas part time.) My trucks got about 175,000 miles on it, and now im delivering pizzas in it, getting horrible gas mileage and now im having suspension/steering problems. I was on lunch at a car wash where i was getting about 4 hours a week and that was the first busy day of the season, we were sopposed to be busy for the next month, and i was scheduled for over forty hours (My first opportunity to make good money there) and i messed my neck up in the accident and didnt work for two weeks. We still havent gotten a rental car from the other guys insurance company, or even a check to pay off the civic. She got the civic for about 11k with 6% interest, and the best deal she can get from a dealership now is 17 ****ING PERCENT APR!! Thats only for a car with under 80 k miles on it too.

Looks like we wont be enjoying a new(ish) car for a while.

Ive got a new evo 4g for free (AWESOME PHONE!) that has a screen thats been cracked to shit, the phone still worked great, it just had a nasty cosmetic problem. I got a new screen from the grandparents on christmas eve. When i went to change it a shard of glass popped inward and punched a hole in the lcd screen. Screen was ****ed, paid seventy dollars for a new lcd screen and it wont be in until tomorrow.

Started the new year off with one car and one phone between the two of us. atleast we still have both our pups.
</rant>

thats what happens when ya buy more then you can afford. credit goes in the shitter and your stuck with sub prime.

it sounds like you need to get a steady job at anywhere and put money towards paying down debt. theres nothing worse then bad credit.

We could afford it. We were making the payments just fine, had the car for 3, almost 4 years. NOW we can't afford one. Her credits fine. Apparently financing a car isn't the same as it was back then.
