What 2WD Manual Transmission for swap?

I am looking at doing the 302 swap in my 96 Ranger (Has the 4.0L V6 right now, 5 spd manual transmission) as my motor is getting kind of tired and will need to be replaced or rebuilt in the next year.

I want to keep my truck 2WD, and do not want to convert to an automatic - I prefer to keep it manual. What 2WD manual transmission works for this swap? I read the whole page on the V8 engine swap, but am still somewhat confused.

The T-5 is most common Manual Trans swap. .
