Last December I pulled the rear out of a '97 Explorer and today I tore it down and am in the process of cleaning, painting, replacing seals, brake lines, hoses... basically rebuilding it.

Next I have to work up a list for the front... and figure how to pay for it all!

Sounds like this needs to be a build thread in the Projects section if you ask me . . . get us some pics man . . .

Good Luck

Yea Hazmat--if he could use the large crayons, that would be even better--me wearing my new glasses>:icon_surprised:

Looks like you're also hyped up on too much coffee...

Either that or some kids never grow up...

Back to the subject: pic's lotta pic's........

Maybe the OP is still getting them developed :icon_rofl: his screen name is 2old4this - he might not have this new technology called a digital camera or even camera phone - so give him some time to get photos, mailed to photobucket and hosted :shok:

2old4this - seriously just kidding but still :icon_rofl:

Seems there are more than a few old coots here just having fun - now get us some updates - please:icon_thumby:

I'm glad I could entertain you jokers, I got my Brownie Box camera out but can't remember where I put the flash bulbs.

The only pics I have so far are reference pics of where things go on the rear to help during reassembly. I will get some before, during, & afters and I'll post them. But I won't be doing a step-by-step, It's been done already, & and by more experienced wrenches then me.
