My 5 speed doesn't have a tach either, there's a digital one built into my ScanGuage II but I almost never look at it.

General rule of thumb for the 4 banger rangers: When it starts making decent power, it's time to shift.

do it! i had a cherry bomb on a 3cyl chevy sprint/geo metro. the thing was loud as hell. probably didn't help that there were holes in the floor at the back. too loud to drive down the highway.

Well no matter what it is good to have some wheels.

I say put a wing on it. That will add about 50mph in speed by adding downforce.

150,000+ miles! Looks like it was well taken care of by its previous owner.
